my powerful abby.

Clothes: Cat & Jack // Shoes: c/o KidsShoes

Abigail is such a ray of sunshine. It's always so fun taking photos of her.

She loves anything to do with bright colors, especially rainbows! I've been in love with Katy Perry's line of shoes. So when I heard she was launching her very first kids' line with KidsShoes.com, I was ecstatic! You guys seriously need to check them out! They even have pom-pom slides. I need some in my size to match Abby! And they even have adorable ones for boys!

valentine's day - abigail.

Dress: c/o Opal & Ivy // Heart Clips: c/o Opal & Ivy // Monkey: c/o Opal & Ivy

When Abigail put on this dress, she never wanted to take it off! She's worn it a few times already. All she does is spin and say how much she loves her Valentine's dress. And her little orangutan! She seriously loves that little guy. She named it "Monk". Haha.

Check out Opal & Ivy! This dress is a definite must for your little girl.

abigail turns 3.

October 31, 2016

This weekend we celebrated Abigail's 3rd birthday! I seriously can't believe it's already been THREE years since I gave birth to my very best friend. She brings so much happiness into my world.

On Friday, her birthday, we went to a pumpkin patch again. We're definitely keeping it a yearly tradition because it's so much fun. She had a blast! And she loved picking out a "baby watermelon pumpkin."

Then on Saturday, we had her birthday party. Abby's birthday party was, well, hard to execute this year. She wanted it to be owl themed and it was near impossible to find owl party supplies and decorations. I ended up using owl pencil sharpeners and teacher supplies because of how hard it was. I didn't feel confident with the results. Or with the turn-out.. But in the end, I simply needed to ask myself, "Is Abigail happy?" And I feel the answer was yes. She spent time with loved ones, ate cake and candy, and was showered with wonderful gifts. Her being happy is what mattered most.. And I received SO much help from my family and friends. I'm feeling very grateful.

abigail turns two.

October 29, 2015

My Abby-Lou is TWO now! It's so crazy to me.. Her birthday was yesterday and I took her to a pumpkin patch this year again. I want to keep it a tradition for her birthday to visit one. She also picked out the perfect one. We went on a hay ride, played in piles of corn, and slid down slides. It was so much fun, even for mama. Haha. I'm not throwing her a birthday party until the 14th of November because it was hard to find a place to rent out. It's going to be circus themed and I'm stoked!

Happy birthday to my little honey bee!

feeling s'well.

October 1, 2015

If any of you follow me on Snapchat, you've seen how often I talk about these bottles.. I didn't think I could love something like a water bottle so much.

I go on a decent amount of hikes with Abigail. And one of my least favorite things that happens naturally when hiking on a hot day, is warm water. Not ever as refreshing.. When I visited South Carolina and hiked Chimney Rock, my friend told me to take a swig of her S'well bottle. After hours of hiking in the heat, her water still had ice in it! Yes, ice my friends. I was so surprised. I immediately ordered one for me, and a smaller bottle for Abigail.. I could rave and rave about these bottles! We never hike without them now. Abigail calls it her "pink water" and loves it so much.. Oh, and Abigail insisted she wear her cat ears for these pictures. Haha.

More about the bottles.. These bottles are made out of stainless steel, and no they do not make your water taste like metal, whatsoever. They're double insulated, so they keep your cold beverages cold for 24 hours (and I mean ice cold), and hot beverages hot for 12. And, there's no condensation on the outside, ever! They also come in so many different colors, and prints. Ugh, seriously.. And I want you guys to know, I was not sponsored by S'well in any way. I just had to share about these!

Check them out here! I'm totally in love with these woodgrain prints.

Also, sorry the pink one turned out so pixelated. AND HAPPY OCTOBER!!!

Abigail Dress: Target // Bow: Mint & Arrows // Shoes: Old Navy

Here's a quick post of Abigail and I from earlier today! Her little teeth crack me up. Especially her fangs! She looks like a vampire. Haha. She's going to be 2 in a couple months, I can't believe it! This year has gone by too fast..

Also, I'll be saying goodbye to my purple hair and I'm super sad about it.. I wish I could keep it like this longer! This is actually the longest I've kept my hair a color other than brown.

twinkle, twinkle, little star.

November 24, 2014

Here are the pictures from Abigail's first birthday party! Continue reading to see all of them.

Her first birthday party was a big success! It was so much fun and I loved planning it. It was a brunch, and I made tons and tons of pannekoeken. I decided to do a Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star theme and I made sure I had pink and gold everything. Haha. This girl is absolutely the best! I loved seeing her little personality in these pictures. It just cracks me up!
