GUYS. I have new hair! (Surprise) And I decided to be more adventurous this time around. I am so freaking stoked to announce that I am officially a part of the Manic Panic Dye Hard Gang! So I'll be changing my hair a lot. Well, at least more than usual. Haha.

My cute friend gave me these balloons that she used for her Galentine's party. I let them sit in my house for a few days before using them and as soon as I took them outside, they decided they were done floating! I was cracking up trying to get them to float.

On those days that I'm looking more for comfort and minimal effort, this is my go-to outfit. I wear my hoodie as a shirt, and throw on my denim vest to take away from the "lazy" look. Haha. And these pants are amazing because they're basically leggings!

Cameron got me these booties for my birthday and I LOVE them. I seriously have been wearing them everyday since I got them. They have them in black and I'm very tempted to get those, too.

yellow hair.

I've changed my hair, yet again. I got bored of the black and wanted to try something completely new. I've always resorted to purple when wanting to dye my hair fun colors, but this time I was interested in trying yellow and decided to take the plunge.

This yellow hair has definitely been an adjustment. It's been a lot of fun! And a challenge when it comes to finding something to wear. (I feel like I can only wear neutrals?) When people see me, they always, and I mean always, do a double take. I've received a lot of, "Are you wearing a wig?" "WOW. That's uhm, that's fun!" Haha. I actually like it, quite a bit. I don't think it'll last for a long time. I'll probably go back to purple eventually. But for now, I'm going to rock it.

Also, if anyone is wondering, I'm wearing Babe Hair's clip-in extensions in #60, I bleached my hair to match them, and I dyed with Manic Panic's Sunshine.

Hello my lovelies.

When I first got my extensions, I received a lot of questions.

Where did you get your hair extensions?
How did you get your hair to blend so well with the extensions?
Did you have to go to a hair stylist?
How do you put them in?

And so on.. First and foremost, I got my hair extensions from Sono Hair Extensions by Donna Bella. Sono sells 100% human hair in many different lengths and colors. They even have clip-in bangs if you're not sure on committing! Haha. I got the clip-in extensions in 16", Jet Black/Darkest Brown.

I seriously love my hair. It really helps with the awkward stage of my pixie cut. I feel SO much more confident when I have my hair in! Ugh. Srsly.

Putting in the extensions is a process, but I get faster each time! So that's nice. The first time I did it, it took me over an hour. Yeah. The way I put in my extensions is exactly like this YouTube video. Finding this video saved me big time.. And no, I did not blend my hair, or cut it in any way! Layering the clips really helps with the blending. No stylist needed!

A perk of working for a beauty company, you get a lot of free beauty products. And it's even cooler when you have an awesome boss who randomly gives you hair dye. I was given this teal/green color and decided, why not? Then dyed my ends this color.. It turned out really awesome looking, I just don't think it's my favorite. I'm still a fan of my full purple hair. But of course I had to document that this hair even existed. :)

Yes, another post about hair.

And yes, I did not follow through with my resolution of keeping my hair purple all year.

A pixie cut has been in the back of my mind for quite some time. It just never seemed like the right time.. These past few weeks or so I've been thinking of starting fresh with my hair, so I started looking at pixie inspiration and felt like it needed to happen. Thankful for my friends who helped push me into it!

After I cut off all my hair, a lot of things happened to me. I decided to make a list and share with you guys.

1. I immediately questioned myself a very large WHY. I had a mind full of regrets.
2. I started to wonder what other people would think of me:
    • Would people think I'm gay?
    • Will guys still find me attractive?
    • Will I be mistaken for a man?
    • What if everyone hates it?
3. I didn't know what to wear! I legit searched Pinterest for "pixie cut outfits". Yeah, that's a thing.
4. I now feel the need to compensate the lack of hair with more makeup to feel "feminine".

Once I had all of these thoughts to myself, I also came up with these realizations:

1. I've told myself many times, and will continue to, "Hair. Grows. Back!"
2. What can I wear? "Anything. You can wear anything, ya big idiot."
3. Having less hair doesn't make me any less feminine.
4. When it comes down to it, it's me who has the hair. Me who wanted it. And other people's opinion shouldn't carry so much weight.

Even though this is a big change and I'm still adapting, I'm going to own it. And rock it. :))

I do my hair myself and have been for quite some time. My grandmother was a hair dresser, and so was my aunt. And funny enough, my grandparents met in hair school! I've learned all of my hair techniques from my grandmother. From cutting and trimming, to bleaching and dying..

When I dyed my hair purple for the first time, I was not prepared for the amount of attention and comments it would receive. I'm actually a shy person when it comes to talking with people I don't know and being the center of attention in a group of people. I hate it to be quite honest.. But now I know it comes with the territory of having bright colored hair!

It's well known that I change my hair quite often. I've been thinking a lot about it, and decided to share the reasons why I change my hair as often as I do.

There are so many things in life that are out of our control. Hair is one thing I know I can control. For me, changing my hair is a way of showing myself that I'm not a complete bystander when it comes to life.

I always keep the mindset that "hair grows back". (Maybe not as fast as we'd sometimes like) Meaning if my hair reaches a point of looking bad, I remember it's only temporary. That helps lessen most fears I have when it comes to a hair change.

Of course, I change my hair because I love to. It gives me confidence, and it's a super fun way of expressing myself. Just like fashion and blogging is for me.

Sometimes, change is needed. Change can give you a feeling of starting fresh, starting over.. So if you're feeling that itch for needed change, I say do it! Life is too short to have boring hair.

On real note though, I'm starting to miss my brown hair. (So much for a New Years' resolution of keeping it purple all year)

I updated my hair! I wouldn't say changed it.. Haha. So I still consider this to be consistent with my hair. BUT I LOVE IT. It's seriously so fun.

This weekend I celebrated my 25th birthday. I'm officially almost 30, a quarter of a century old, & more of an adult.. I danced the weekend away and am still sore from it. I'm blaming my age. ;) It was such a blast. Part of me is happy I get to relax now. This weekend was plan after plan, and go-go-go.. I'm ready to lounge and catch up on Downton Abbey.

Yes, my hair is back to being purple! And I couldn't be happier.. I wore this outfit to match with my desk for work. We were having a desk decorating contest, so of course I had to match my desk. I earned the name "human disco ball" at my work a while back, and I love it. Haha. I have the best coworkers!

I also thought this would be a great NYE inspiration.. I will be wearing sequins, of course!
