sunday update 1 - five things.

July 7, 2013

I decided I'm going to start up a new post "series". Sunday updates! I tried doing something similar to this a while ago and couldn't keep up with it. This time I want to try just maybe doing it once a month, the 1st Sunday. We'll see how I do!

1. Ever since I found out the gender of the baby I can't stop crafting! Especially baby shoes. I think I've pinned about 50+ things that I want to craft before baby Abigail comes. I could seriously craft for days. I'm just hoping that the more I do crafts that require me to sew, I'll get better at sewing! Because those cat booties, were a little tough for me. Haha.

2. This past week we spent a lot of time with family. Which is my absolute favorite. I love seeing my nieces! They are the sweetest. They just make me so excited to be a mom! Our 4th of July was spent wonderfully. We went to the Cherry Days parade (my very first parade) then saw Despicable Me 2! I loved the first one, and this one was really good, just didn't top the first. Then at night we lit a ton of fireworks with family and friends. Ending in me stepping on a sparkler and burning my foot. (+1 for me)

3. I just found my new favorite candy yesterday. Tootsie Pop drops! YUM. I love Tootsie Pops, but these are just the best. I found them at the dollar store, now go and try some.

4. Pregnancy update: I'm 24 weeks! I feel like pregnancy has just been flying by lately. Only 4 more weeks and I'm in my 3rd trimester! It's so crazy. At my next doctor's appointment I have to do my Glucose test. I'm semi-nervous. I've heard a lot of stories and I hope it's just not as bad as everyone says it is! *crossed fingers*

5. Last but not least, I'm extremely bored of my hair -again-. I need change. A lot Part of me wants to chop it and have it be just above shoulder length. But then I think about how badly I've been wanting it to grow out. I keep justifying it in my head because my hair is growing super fast right now, so I should be okay to cut it. Right? Or, I'll just perm it.. This is going to be an ongoing battle in my head. Any suggestions are welcome!

sunday update - week 5.

August 19, 2012

Geez, I've definitely been slacking on my updates! Sorry guys, I guess these past Sunday's have been busier than expected!

• Today has been a nice and relaxing day so far! We came and stayed the night at my parents' house last night.. We just barely got done watching Easy A. It was my first time seeing it, and I absolutely loved it! I love it, it was so funny.. If you haven't seen it, I definitely recommend it. Then really soon, we're going to go have dinner with my in-laws. I love Sunday's spent with family. (:

• We don't have any exciting plans coming up.. Probably because we just got back from Washington. Which was a spontaneous, last-minute trip. It turned out to be pretty fun! We went shooting, which was awesome. My husband turned out to have a really good shot!

• School, yay! My husband starts school back up again in a week.. The excitement is complete sarcasm. We're going to be even more busy. But luckily, I'll be done with school and graduating next month! I can't wait..

Happy Sunday!

• Today we celebrated our cousin Sawyer's 1st birthday! It was really nice to get together with the family.. I feel like it's been forever since my husband and I last saw them. So it turned out really nice.. We had a lot of fun!

• We are completely STOKED! We're going to see Iron Maiden on Wednesday!! My whole family is going. That's where my dad wants to take our family Christmas picture. Haha. So we're all going to be decked out in Iron Maiden attire. Leather pants, denim vests, studded jewelry, etc.. And of course, each of us are going to be wearing an Iron Maiden shirt! I'm soooo excited.

• This Tuesday, one of my best friends is getting married. I absolutely love being a part of weddings..

That about sums it up! Hope your Sunday was great.

sunday update - week 3.

July 22, 2012

Yay for mint ice cream!

• Midnight on Thursday we went to see Batman Dark Knight Rises. IT WAS AMAZING.. My husband and I had such high expectations for the movie, and surprisingly they were definitely met! I never thought it was possible to cry in a Batman movie, but this one definitely made it possible! It completely threw me for a loop. I was constantly surprised.. All of the actors chosen, were perfect for each part. Go see it if you haven't already!

• Over the weekend my husband and I went on a couple double dates. Friday we went out with a couple from our neighborhood. We went bowling then played board games. It was way fun.. On Saturday we went to Planet Play, it's basically a Chuck-e-Cheese for older people. It was really enjoyable! Then after that we went to my husband's good friend's engagement party. I've never been to one before, it turned out pretty nicely! We loved catching up with old friends..

• Today, we're just lounging around. Right now we're watching Harold and Maude while eating ice cream.. It's his first time seeing it. It's one of my favorite movies.. If you haven't seen it, you need to. It's a classic..

Happy Sunday!

Reppin' some Ohio State! I realize it's no longer Sunday, but I missed the opportunity to post yesterday so I'll be updating you today! On a lovely Monday..

• I just got back from a weekend trip to Ohio with my parents. We were mostly in Cleveland, but we also visited Columbus and Sandusky. Columbus, obviously to visit the State Capital, and then Sandusky to go to Cedar Point! On our first day, we went to a couple crazy restaurants. Definitely some unique food! We also visited the historic Kirtland Temple. It was an awesome stop.. Great to see all the history there. On day two, we went to The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It was really neat! But the bummer was we couldn't take any photos in the gallery. It was also cool to see all of the Inductees, but I got upset to see that Rush and Iron Maiden aren't inducted! Super disappointing.. Then we went to The Pro-Football Hall of Fame. (For my dad, of course) It was interesting to see how football started, and how it's developed over the centuries. On day three, we went inside the State Capital and took a self-tour. Every wall was pink! Then we went and saw an exact replica of the Santa Maria. To my surprise, it was really small! After that, we dropped my mom off at the hotel then my dad and I went to Cedar Point. My mom hates rollercoasters so she insisted she didn't go.. We went on the first rollercoaster, which was about 90+ MPH and 300+ ft. tall.. After the ride, my dad got extremely sick and couldn't even walk straight. It was so sad! We just ended up walking around and sitting for a few hours. Then, when my dad felt somewhat better, we went and waited in line for the best one! 420 ft. high, and 120 MPH! Insane.. We came specifically to ride this one. We went and waited in line for a dreadful hour and a half, then of course, it began to rain. And they shut it down! We were about 15 minutes away from the front of the line. We were so upset, we just went back to the hotel.. Then the next morning, we flew home. Bummer!

• My husband, my siblings, and I are going to go see the new Batman midnight showing this Thursday! We're preparing by watching the first two right now.. My brother is absolutely obsessed with Batman, so he's completely ecstatic. Hopefully it's good! It got positive ratings, so it should be.

Thanks guys!

sunday update - week 1.

July 8, 2012

So I decided I'm going to do a Sunday Update post every week.. Just to blog about what's been going on, and what's coming up!

• We just got home from visiting with my immediate family. We were celebrating my 2nd brother, John's, birthday. He's turning 23 on the 17th, but this is the weekend that work best for the whole family.. We celebrating with cake and some gifts. He got his favorite cake, Tres Leches. It was delicious! He got some gifts, mainly to do with Batman and Xbox. Hahah. We all definitely had a good time.

• This weekend, my husband and I celebrated our 6 month mark for being married. I know a lot of people don't usually celebrate 6 months, but we felt it was something worth celebrating! I bought him some new shoes that he's been needing, then we went out for dinner at Roll Up Crepes.. It's a super small crepe cafe-ish. It had really good pricing and was SO delicious! And I just loved the small local feel of it, instead of a busy restaurant feel. It was great, we're going to have to become frequent diners!

• I'm really, really excited for this week! I'm traveling with my parents to Ohio! Ohio seems completely random, but my parents are doing a 50 state challenge. And Ohio will be their 49th! They decided to invite me to come along because my dad wants to go to an amusement park. My mom hates rollercoasters! I definitely didn't mind! We'll be leaving on the 11th and coming back on the 15th.. It'll be a ton of fun. But, the only downfall, is my husband can't go with me. I absolutely hate leaving him to go on trips.. I don't know, I guess I end up missing him a ton! He couldn't get work off because he just started his new job.. Sadness.

Well, I guess that's most of what's going on.. What's interesting at least. Hope your weekend was great!
